Betway South Africa has been all over social media lately, pushing their new rewards program hard and making it sound like the next best thing. The reality? It's so far from rewarding, it's actually insulting. We put Betway's rewards system to the test once again and were absolutely floored by how pathetic the actual rewards turned out to be.
Betway Rewards Program - Tested, AGAIN
We deposited (and lost) R5000 on multiple occasions. The rewards we got back for that R5000? A measly R20 per R5000 loss on average. That works out to roughly 0.5% cashback. Seriously? So you're telling me that after depositing and wagering the full 5k – meaning we probably turned over anywhere from R5000 to R10000 in actual bets – we get a laughable R20 in rewards?
This is textbook false advertising of a terrible deal. All the celebrity influencers and big names they're throwing at us won't change the fact that this is genuinely one of the worst reward schemes in South Africa – and that's the truth.
Meanwhile, operators like Tic Tac Bets, 10 Bet South Africa, Soccershop, and Easybet offer legitimate 10% cashback on losses. That's a whopping 99.5% more than Betway. Even Play.co.za offers cash rewards that significantly surpass Betway's offerings. The only thing Betway has going for it, I suppose, is that you accumulate points whether you win or lose. But let's be real – the average South African can't afford to burn through R5000 just to earn R20. You'd be better off pulling a R20 note out of your wallet and keeping your R5000 safe.
As South Africans, we're spoilt for choice – there are plenty of bookmakers out there offering proper rewards. Don't fall for Betway's flashy marketing campaigns. They honestly deliver zero value whatsoever.
